Terms and Conditions – Scandinavian Pickers

Welcome to Scandinavian Pickers. By shopping with us, you accept the terms and conditions below. We sell unique vintage items and hand-picked interior decor, which means that special conditions apply to the items’ condition, liability, and taxation.

1. Company Information

Scandinavian Pickers AB Org. no: 559580-8089
Email: [email protected]

2. About the Products (Second-hand & Vintage)

All goods are sold in as-is condition.

  • Character: As our products are second-hand, they have a history. This means that traces of use, age, and natural wear and tear occur. We strive to document defects clearly through images and text, but minor signs of use that do not affect functionality are considered part of the item’s character and are not grounds for complaint.
  • Technical function: Electronics, lighting, and mechanical items (e.g., clockworks) are sold as decorative or collector’s items unless otherwise stated. We provide no functional guarantee on older technical components.
  • Color reproduction: We reserve the right that color reproduction in images may vary depending on screen settings.

3. Prices and Margin Scheme Taxation (VMB)

All prices are stated in Swedish Kronor (SEK). We reserve the right for obvious pricing errors and reserve the right to cancel an order in the event of such inaccuracies.

  • VAT: We apply margin scheme taxation (VMB) for second-hand goods. This means that VAT is included in the price but is not deductible for corporate customers. VAT is therefore not specified separately on receipts or invoices.

4. Payment and Ownership

Payment is made via the options presented at checkout.

4.1 Payment via Klarna

In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, we offer the following payment options where payment is made directly to Klarna:

  • Pay within 30 days (Invoice)
  • Klarna Account (Installment payment)
  • Direct payment (Bank transfer or card via Klarna)

By using these payment methods, we share your contact and order details with Klarna. This is done so that Klarna can assess whether you are eligible for their payment methods and to adapt them for you. Your personal data is processed in accordance with Klarna’s Privacy Policy.

4.2 Retention of Title

The goods remain the property of Scandinavian Pickers AB until full payment has been made.

5. Shipping, Delivery, and Unclaimed Packages

We normally pack and ship your goods within 1–3 business days.

  • Shipping damage: In case of visible damage to the packaging upon delivery, this must be reported directly to the carrier/agent. Photograph both the packaging and the item and contact us immediately.

6. Right of Withdrawal and Returns

As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date you received the item, in accordance with the Distance Contracts Act.

  • Return shipping: When exercising the right of withdrawal, you as the customer are responsible for the entire return shipping cost. Returns may not be sent cash on delivery or as a “registered letter” requiring pickup at an agent; they must be sent as a business package directly to our address.
  • Responsibility for returns: The customer is responsible for the item until it reaches us. As vintage items are often fragile, the item must be packed very carefully. We recommend tracked shipping. We reserve the right to deduct for depreciation (up to 100%) if the item is returned in deteriorated or damaged condition. For packages that are not collected, we reserve the right to charge the customer a fee of SEK 250 to cover our costs for return shipping and administration.
  • Contact: Always contact [email protected] before sending a return.

7. Complaints

We follow the Consumer Sales Act. If an item is in significantly worse condition than stated in the description, you have the right to complain about the item. Defects must be reported to us as soon as they are discovered.

8. Force Majeure

Scandinavian Pickers is exempt from liability for failure to fulfill certain obligations under this agreement if the failure is due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., changes in law, government actions, labor disputes, fire, or extreme weather conditions).

9. Personal Data (GDPR)

We process your personal data to manage your order. We only share necessary data with our payment and shipping partners. For complete information, please see our Privacy Policy.
