We always strive to deliver unique, high-quality items. By completing a purchase, you accept the following terms and conditions governing delivery, right of withdrawal, and liability.
1. Delivery and Liability
- Processing Time: Normal processing time is 1–3 non-holiday weekdays. During peak periods, this may be extended.
- Transport Liability: Once the item has been handed over to the shipping company, the risk for the shipment transfers to the carrier. Scandinavian Pickers is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping company.
2. Right of Withdrawal and Exceptions
- Time Limit: You have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. The period begins the day after you receive the item.
- Notification: Return requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. An unconfirmed return sent without prior contact will not be approved.
- Condition Requirements (Vintage): As our items are used/vintage, they are sold in their existing condition. Upon return, the item must be in exactly the same condition as at the time of sale. Seals or markings must not be broken.
3. Return Shipping and Packaging
- Cost: The customer bears all costs for return shipping. Original shipping costs are not refunded.
- Traceability Requirement: Returns must be sent as a traceable business package with direct delivery to our door. We do not collect packages from agents/pickup points.
- Packaging Responsibility: The customer bears full responsibility for the item until it reaches us. As vintage items are often fragile, professional packaging is required. If the item is damaged during return shipping due to inadequate packaging, the return will be denied in its entirety.
4. Refund and Diminished Value
- Diminished Value Deduction: We reserve the right to deduct up to 100% of the item’s value if it is returned in an altered condition, has been used, or has been damaged due to negligent handling/packaging.
- Timeline: Refunds will be processed only after we have conducted a visual inspection of the item, normally within 14 days of receipt.
5. Complaints and Transit Damage
Preserved Packaging: In case of damage, all packaging must be saved for potential inspection by the shipping company. Discarded packaging means the right to compensation is forfeited.
Inspection upon Arrival: It is the buyer’s responsibility to inspect the item immediately upon receipt.
Reporting Obligation: Transit damage must be reported to us no later than 24 hours after receipt for a claim to be made. The report must include clear photos of:
The damaged item.
The packaging (exterior and interior).
The shipping label.
