Description
This small, charming vase is a beautiful example of decorative craftsmanship. The vase is made of ceramic or porcelain with a glossy white glaze, adorned with detailed hand-painted or printed motifs in classic cobalt blue. The motifs include elegant birds in flight, as well as a variety of flowers and vegetation that give the vase a peaceful and timeless expression.
On the underside of the vase, there is a clear marking that reads "JAPAN", "Edo Dynasty" and the period "1600-1750", as well as "No3". This indicates that the vase belongs to a series that draws inspiration from the aesthetics of the Japanese Edo period. Despite its small size, it is an eye-catcher that can adorn a shelf, a desk, or be used as part of a still life.
The vase is in very good vintage condition considering its age and use. Please note a minor discoloration or dirt accumulation along the lower edge of the vase's underside, which is common for older items and contributes to its character.
