Description
About the item: Three framed textile pictures, likely from the early 20th century, with motifs inspired by 18th-century Rococo style. Each picture depicts detailed scenes with figures, children, and animals such as donkeys, offering a glimpse into a bygone pastoral idyll.
Details & Execution: The pictures are crafted on a textile base, providing a tactile surface with visible weave structure. The color palette consists of muted shades of red, blue, green, and beige. The frames are simple, gold-toned, and made of wood or composite, complementing the motifs without dominating. The motifs include, among others, a man and woman with an infant on a donkey, and a group by a railing with a child.
Condition & Patina: The overall condition of the items is well-preserved considering their age. One of the pictures shows clear brown stains in the upper part (see image 2). All textile pictures exhibit a natural patina with some age-related wear, including minor thread pulls and light dirt, which is to be expected for vintage items of this type. The frames have minor surface scratches and scuffs.
